A funeral will be held Tuesday, September 11th, 2007 for 91-year-old John J. Connor of Lee's Summit, who died Tuesday, September 4th at Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City.

He was born May 20, 1916 in Malvern, Iowa, the son of John J. Connor and Nellie Mae (Porter) Connor, who both preceded him in death.

He married Anastasia M. Okenfuss on December 27th, 1945. She preceded him in death.

He is survived by three sons and daughters in law, James Dennis and Sandra Connor of Troy, Michigan, Joseph P. and Jean Connor of San Antonio, Texas and Jerry Michael and Joan Connor of Plymouth, Michigan; a daughter and son in law, Patricia A. and Claude Sasso of Kansas City; two brothers, Howard Connor of Salem, Oregon and Martin Connor of Shenandoah, Iowa; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Ford; and two brothers, Leonard Connor and Alton Connor.

A graveside service for 91-year-old John J. Connor of Lee's Summit, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 11th at Valle Spring Cemetery. The Rev. Daniel Mosley will officiate. Military honors will be conducted at the graveside by VFW Post No. 133
