A funeral will be held Tuesday, October 9th, 2007 for 88-year-old Melba L. "Tootie" Herter of Ste. Genevieve, who died Saturday, October 6th at Riverview at the Park Care and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born December 12th, 1918 in Ste. Genevieve, the daughter of John and Ida (Riney) Herter, who both preceded her in death.

She is survived by a brother in law, Don Valleroy of St. Mary and a nephew, Thomas Valleroy of Ste. Genevieve.

She was also preceded in death by three sisters: Betty Valleroy, Geraldine Baker and Helen Herter and three brothers: Charles, Cornelius "Deedee" and Julian "Booty" Herter.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday, October 8th at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve.

A funeral for 88-year-old Melba A. "Tootie" Herter of Ste. Genevieve will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 9th at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve. The Rev. Clark Maes will officiate. Burial will be in the Valle Spring Cemetery.
