A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 17th for 67-year-old Wilbur H. Hughes of St. Mary, who died Thursday, November 15th at his residence.

He was born November 27th, 1939 in St. Louis, the son of John L. and Marie (Freese) Hughes, who both preceded him in death.

He married Janice Nelms on October 27th, 1962 in St. Louis. She survives in St. Mary.

He is also survived by two daughters and a son in law, Cheryl and Paul Jacobs of St. Louis and Connie Jean Ellis of St. Mary; a brother, Robert Hughes of Florida; two sisters, Gertrude Beasley of St. Louis and Grace Lohman of St. Louis; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Eileen Nichols and Genevieve Felderworth.

He was a member of the Ste. Genevieve Jaycees and Perryville Eagles.

There will be no visitation.

A memorial service for 67-year-old Wilbur H. Hughes of St. Mary will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, November 17th at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve. Jeremy Jacobs will officiate.
