Norman ‘Sparrow’ J. LaRose Norman J. "Sparrow" LaRose of Ste. Genevieve passed away Saturday, November 3, 2007 at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital at the age of 82 years. He was born May 10, 1925 in Ste. Genevieve to the late George and Genevieve (LaRose) LaRose. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Enid Jenkins and Mary Catherine LaRose, one brother, Carmen "Bud" LaRose, one sister-in-law, Bernadine LaRose Beauchamp, and two brothers-in-law, Arvel and Tim Jenkins. Norman served his country proudly in the United States Army. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 150, Knights of Columbus Council No. 1037, and Elks Lodge No. 2674 He is survived by his wife, Norma (Scherer) LaRose, children, Carol (Joe) Fallert Jr., Dennis LaRose, Jean LaRose and Mark LaRose, all of Ste. Genevieve, seven grandchildren, Nicole Schwent, Jamie Fischer, Darrell LaPlant Jr., Christopher LaRose, Carrie LaRose, Cassandra LaRose, and Brandon LaRose; two step-grandchildren, Kyla Parker and Breea Harmon, four great grandchildren, and four step great grandchildren, one sister, Loretta Jenkins of Ste. Genevieve, nieces, nephews and many friends. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Ste. Genevieve with the Rev. Dan Mosley officiating. Internment with full Military Honors will follow in the Valle Spring Catholic Cemetery, Memorials to Church of Ste. Genevieve or Masses preferred. |
