Quinten J. Gegg

A funeral will be held Tuesday, May 8th, 2007 for 83-year-old Quinten J. Gegg of Coffman who died Sunday, May 6th at the Ste. Genevieve Care Center.

He was born January 29th, 1924 in Coffman, the son of Lawrence and Elenora (Rottler) Gegg, who both preceded him in death.

He married Gladys Redmond Crocker on December 20th, 1986. She preceded him in death.

He is survived by a sister, Bernice Jokerst of Ste. Genevieve; and several nieces and nephews.

He was a lifelong farmer and served in the U.S. Army in Japan during World War II. He was a member of VFW Post No. 2210.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Austin and Allen Gegg, two sisters, Marceline Maxon and Gloria Gegg.

Visitation will be 5-9 this (Monday, May 7th) evening at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve. A VFW service will be held at 7 p.m.

A funeral for 83-year-old Quinten J. Gegg of Coffman will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 8th at the St. Catherine Church in Coffman. The Rev. Joseph Reilly will officiate.

Burial will be in the St. Catherine Cemetery. A military graveside service will be performed by VFW Post No. 2210.
