A funeral will be held Wednesday, March 7th, 2007 for 83-year-old Donald F. Kertz of Ste. Genevieve who died Saturday, March 3rd at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital.

He was born September 5th, 1923 in Lawrenceton, the son of Frederick and Martha (Schilly) Kertz, who both preceded him in death.

He married Bernadine Fallert on October 3rd, 1944.

He is survived by five sons and three daughters in law, Robert Kertz of Arnold, Kenny and Patsy Kertz of Red Bud, Illinois, Wayne and Leann Kertz of Mountain View, Wyoming, Randy Kertz of Ste. Genevieve and Carl and Malia Kertz of Green River, Wyoming; five daughters and sons in law, Mary and Ken Stuppy of Ste. Genevieve, Elaine and Finley Macklin of Ste. Genevieve, Donna and Kenny Williams of St. Mary, Lisa and John Buettner of Fresno, California and Anita and Keith Haskell of Mystic, Connecticutt; two brothers, John Kertz and Mark Kertz; three sisters, Evelyn Palumbo, Sister Ruth Kertz and Rosemary Livingston; 25 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Gary Kertz, and four brothers, Rupert Kertz, Vernon Kertz, Frederick Kertz and Raymond Kertz.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 6th at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve. The Knights of Columbus Rosary Service begins at 7 p.m.

A funeral for 83-year-old Donald F. Kertz of Ste. Genevieve will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 7th at the St. Agnes Church in Bloomsdale. The Revs. Clark Maes and Raymond Oge will officiate.

Burial will be in the St. Agnes Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to the St. Agnes School Building Fund.
