Judith ‘Judy’ Laplant

A funeral will be held Tuesday, July 10th, 2007 for 66-year-old Judith "Judy" Laplant of Bloomsdale, who died Saturday, July 7th at her residence.

She was born April 4th, 1941 in Festus, the daughter of Eugene "Gene" McCreary, who preceded her in death and Thelma (Vineyard) McCreary of Festus who survives in Festus.

She married Gary Lee LaPlant. He preceded her in death.

She is also survived by a daughter, Cathy Curtis of Canton, Illinois; a son and daughter in law, Tom and Debbie Curtis of Pevely; three sisters and two brothers in law: Jean Manning of Festus, Sandy and Ron Meyer of Bloomsdale and Nancy and Mike Walsh of Juneau, Alaska and a granddaughter, Desiree Spicer.

She was a postal carrier at the Cedar Hill Post Office.

She was a member of the Jefferson Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, she was an avid gardener and antique collector.

She was a member of the Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church of Festus.

Visitation will be 4-8 this (Monday, July 9th) evening at the Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.

A funeral for 66-year-old Judith "Judy" Laplant of Bloomsdale will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 10th at the Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus. The Rev. Mindy Kiepe, Chaplain of Jefferson Memorial Hospice, will officiate.

Burial will be in the Concord Cemetery in Bloomsdale.

Memorials may be made to the Jefferson Memorial Hospice or to the American Cancer Society.
