Cynthia M. (Bauman) Higginbotham

A funeral will be held Thursday, January 18th, 2007 for 43-year-old Cynthia M. (Bauman) Higginbotham of French Village, who died Saturday, January 13th at St. Louis University Medical Center.

She was born September 16th, 1963 in Bonne Terre, the daughter of Francis Bauman who survives in French Village and Helen (Gidley) Bauman who survives in French Village.

She married Charles Higginbotham April 24th, 1995. He survives in French Village.

She is also survived by a daughter: Madeline Higginbotham of French Village; a brother: Col. Mitchell Bauman, USMC, of California; a sister and brother in law: Rebecca and Brian Barley of Ft. Worth, Texas; her mother in law: Doris Higginbotham of Pacific; an aunt and uncle: Margie and Bob Dengler; a niece and nephews: Jacqueline and Clayton Bauman and Brandon and Blake Barley.

She was preceded in death by her father in law: Wendell Higginbotham.

She was a registered dental hygienist for more than 20 years, practicing in De Soto, Herculaneum and Festus. She loved life and lived it to its fullest. She fought a courageous fight during her long-term illness and is an inspiration to her family and friends. Her smile brought joy everywhere she went and she put her heart into everything she did. She loved helping people and caring for people. She loved gardening, riding horses and working on the farm.

She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and attended St. Agnes and Valle High School. She graduated in 1981 from Valle High School.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, January 17th at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Lawrenceton.

A funeral for 43-year-old Cynthia M. (Bauman) Higginbotham of French Village will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 18th at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Lawrenceton. The Rev. Raymond Oge will officiate.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Madeline Higginbotham College Fund at the Bank of Bloomsdale.
