A funeral will be held Wednesday, January 10th, 2006 at the Church of Ste. Genevieve for 61-year-old Charles J. Baumann of Ste. Genevieve who died Monday, January 8th.

He was born April 9, 1945 in St. Louis, the son of Carl Baumann and Hildegard "Shorty" (Klein) Bauman, who both preceded her in death.

He married Vicki S. Blanford on September 7th, 1968.

He is survived by a son: Chuck Baumann of Ste. Genevieve; three daughters and two sons in law: Nancy J. and Dave Bahr of Ste. Genevieve, Julie A. Baumann of St. Charles and Kelly and Greg Roth of Fenton; two brothers and sisters in law: William and Jeanette Baumann of River aux Vases and Francis and JoAnn Baumann of River aux Vases; a sister and brother in law: Carla and Harold "Bud" Coleman of Dubuque, Iowa; mother in law: Mary Blanford of Ste. Genevieve; and two grandchildren: Allison and Jessica Bahr.

He was also preceded in death by a sister: Mary Jane Moro; and two brothers-in-law: Kenneth Moro and Eddie Blanford.

He was a member of American Legion Post No. 150, Ste. Genevieve Elks Lodge No. 2674, Knights of Columbus Council No. 1037, Bricklayers Local No. 1 of St. Louis, Valle Athletic Club and the Morrison Hollow Hunting Club.

He was a graduate of Valle Catholic High School.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday, January 10th at the Church of Ste. Genevieve.

A funeral for 61-year-old Charles J. Baumann of Ste. Genevieve will be held at noon Wednesday at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. The Rev. Daniel Mosley will officiate.

Burial will be in the Valle Spring Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Valle Schools Foundation, masses or to the Valle Athletic Club.
