Truman A. LaBrot Jr. A funeral will be held Tuesday, February 13th, 2007 for 91-year-old Truman A. LaBrot Jr. of Ste. Genevieve, formerly of Bloomsdale, who died Sunday, February 11th at the Ste. Genevieve Care Center. He was born January 30th, 1916 in Fredericktown, the son of Truman LaBrot Sr. and Virginia (Lanpher) LaBrot, who both preceded him in death. He married Ruth Bader on August 4th, 1940. She preceded him in death. He is survived by a daughter and son in law, Jeanine and Wayne Canaday of Bloomsdale; three grandchildren, Jennifer Canaday of St. Louis, Christopher Canaday and his wife Megan of St. Louis and Craig Canaday of Decatur, Illinois; and a niece, Sharon Matzinger of Cobb, California. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Lanpher LaBrot. He owned and operated Bloomsdale Bank Building and Equipment Co. from 1955 to 1970. In that span of time, he designed over 200 banks in Missouri and Illinois. He was also instrumental in the construction phase of the new St. Agnes Church in Bloomsdale. Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, December 13th at the St. Agnes Church in Bloomsdale. A funeral for 91-year-old Truman A. LaBrot Jr. of Ste. Genevieve, formerly of Bloomsdale, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 13th at the St. Agnes Church in Bloomsdale. The Rev. Clark Maes will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Agnes Cemetery in Bloomsdale. Memorials may be made to St. Agnes School. Arrangements by the Basler Funeral Home. |
