A funeral will be held Monday, August 13th, 2007 for 87-year-old Gladys J. Jokerst of Ste. Genevieve, who died Thursday, August 9th at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital.

She was born Friday, October 3rd, 1919 in Ste. Genevieve, the daughter of Frank and Thressa (Meyer) Figge who both preceded her in death.

She married Oliver F. Jokerst on November 25th, 1941. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by a son and daughter in law, Michael "Buck" and Lisa Jokerst of Ste. Genevieve; two daughters and a son in law, Jane Naeger of Ste. Genevieve and Mary Lee and Thomas Zerwig of Oakville; two brothers and a sister in law, Clarence "Bud" and Georgia Figge of Ste. Genevieve and the Rev. Urban Figge of Belleville, Illinois; a sister, Berdella Long of new Offenburg; 10 grandchildren; two step grandchildren; three great grandchildren and four step great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Oberle and three brothers, the Rev. Edwin Figge, Gilbert Figge and the Rev. Leo Figge.

She was a member of the Sodality of Mary, Western Catholic Union and Ste. Genevieve Catholic Parish.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday, August 12th at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve.

A funeral for 87-year-old Gladys J. Jokerst of Ste. Genevieve will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, August 13th at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. Burial will be in the Valle Spring Cemetery. The Rev. Daniel Mosley will officiate.
