A funeral will be held Tuesday, April 17th, 2007 for 84-year-old Oliver J. Hermann of Ste. Genevieve, who died Saturday, April 14th at Riverview at the Park Care and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born January 23rd, 1923 in Ste. Genevieve, the son of Joseph L. Hermann and Anna (Naeger) Hermann, who both preceded him in death.

He married Elsie Mary Hermann on June 4th, 1947 in Ste. Genevieve. She preceded him in death.

He is survived by five sons and three daughters in law: Ronald and Janet Hermann of Ozora, Kenny and Denise Hermann of Effingham, Illinois, Bobby and Janet Hermann of Imperial, Allen Hermann of De Soto and Wayne Hermann of Imperial; two daughters and a son in law, Pat Kirchner of Ste. Genevieve and Janette and Wayne Bohnert of Perryville; two brothers and sisters in law, Earl and Lavern Hermann of Ste. Genevieve and Gilbert and Betty Hermann of Rochester, Minnesota; two sisters, Helen Rottler of Ste. Genevieve and Esther Miller of Farmington; two sisters in law, Bernadine Hermann of Ozora and Henrietta Neudeck of St. Louis; an aunt, Sophie Roth of Ste. Genevieve; 15 grandchildren, Nancy Parmer, Julie Hermann, John Hermann, Traci Capps, Brad Kirchner, Angela Rottler, Travis Bohnert, Laura Garcia, Jason Hermann, Tyler Hermann, Anna Hermann, Craig Hermann, Carrie Hermann, Ryan Hermann and Mary Theresa Hermann; and nine great grandchildren, Kevin Capps, Kurtis Capps, Koltin Capps, Jacob Kirchner, August Rottler, Pamala Bohnert, Emelio Garcia, Ian Bohnert and Emma Bohnert.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Glennon Hermann and Joseph "Fuzz" Hermann; a sister, Bernice Hermann; three brothers in law, Erwin Miller, Glennon Rottler and Robert Neudeck; two sisters in law, Dororthy Hermann and Loretta Goss; and a grandchild, Lisa Kathryn Hermann.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Western Catholic Union, and NFO.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. this (Monday, April 16th) afternoon and evening at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve.

A funeral for 84-year-old Oliver J. Hermann of Ste. Genevieve will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 17th at the Sacred Heart Church in Ozora. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Rev. James Schaefer will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the Sacred Heart School or to Masses.
