Harold E. Donze

A funeral will be held Monday, April 16th, 2007 for 90-year-old Harold E. Donze of Ste. Genevieve, who died Thursday, April 12th at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital.

He was born in July 1916 in Weingarten, the son of Louis J. Donze and Elizabeth (Glaser) Donze, who both preceded him in death.

He married Leona R. Schilly on October 18th, 1939. She survives.

He is also survived by a son and daughter in law, Paul and June Donze of Ste. Genevieve; four daughters and sons in law, Dona and Clyde Carron of Hazelwood, Marlene and Jerry Hawkins of Manchester, Martha and Rick Grein of Ferguson and Andi and Ritch Fisher of Ferguson; 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Earl Donze.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 1037 and Fourth Degree Assembly, he was also a member of the American Legion Post No. 150, VFW Post No. 2210. He served in the army during World War II. He was the owner and operator of Donze Distributing for 57 years.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve. The VFW and Legion service will be at 6:30 p.m. The Knights of Columbus Rosary will be at 7 p.m.

A funeral for 90-year-old Harold E. Donze of Ste. Genevieve will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 16th at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. Burial will be in the Valle Spring Cemetery. The Rev. Daniel Mosley will officiate. Cemetery honors by the VFW Post No. 2210.

Memorials may be made to Valle Schools or to Masses.
