Gary L. LaPlant A funeral will be held Saturday, April 21st, 2007 for 68-year-old Gary L. LaPlant of Bloomsdale, who died Wednesday, April 18th, 2007 at his residence. He was born March 20th, 1939 in Fredericktown, the son of Elmo and Maxine (Murry) LaPlant. They preceded him in death. He married Judith McCreary, who survives in Bloomsdale. He is survived by a daughter, Cathy Curtis of Canton, IL; two sons and daughters in law, Darrell and Patricia LaPlant of Sullivan, Tom and Debbie Curtis of Pevely; two brothers and sisters in law, Jim and Mary LaPlant of Arnold, David and Laura LaPlant of Decatur, IL; two sisters, Pat LaPlant of Cedar Hill, Trudy Dankenbring of House Springs; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Lynn Spoon; a sister, Peggy LaPlant. He was employed in the maintenance department at Northwest R-1 Schools in House Springs. He was an avid collector of gasoline service station memorabilia. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, April 20th at the Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus. A funeral for 68-year-old Gary L. LaPlant of Bloomsdale will be held at noon Saturday, April 21st, 2007 at the Vinyard Funeral Home. The Rev. Tony Townley will officiate. Burial will follow in the Concord Cemetery.
