A funeral will be held Saturday, March 25th, 2006 for 77-year-old Robert F. "Red" Bauer, who died Wednesday, March 22nd at Ste. Genevieve Care Center.

He was born February 6th, 1929 in Ste. Genevieve, the son of Adolph and Lavada E. (Baumgartner) Bauer, who both preceded him in death.

He is survived by two daughters and sons in law, Roberta and Richard Helms of Bloomsdale and Susan and Raymond Knight of Ste. Genevieve; two brothers and a sister in law, Dennis "Eugene" and Mary Jane Bauer of River aux Vases and Carl Bauer of Ste. Genevieve; two granddaughters and their husbands, Barbara and John Machalek of Festus and Angela and Daniel Bornemann of Bloomsdale; two great grandchildren, Andrew Machalek and Tyler Bornemann and his ex-wife, Helen (Brake) Bauer.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 1037.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, March 24th at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve.

A funeral for 77-year-old Robert F. "Red" Bauer of Ste. Genevieve will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 25th at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve. The Rev. Daniel Mosley will officiate.

Burial will be in the Valle Spring Cemetery in Ste. Genevieve.
