A funeral will be held Saturday, June 17th, 2006 for 96-year-old Virgie (Calkins) Callison of Ste. Genevieve, who died Tuesday, June 13th at the Ste. Genevieve Care Center.

She was born January 27th, 1910 in Midland, Michigan, the daughter of Charles and Hannah (Barber) Calkins, who both preceded her in death.

She married Ernest Callison on August 5th, 1943. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by a sister in law, Mae Callison; nieces and nephews: George and his wife, Judy, Callison, Eugene and his wife, Pamela, Callison, Priscilla and her husband, Melvin, Theroff, Herbert Calkins, Robatine Kirkpatrick; numerous great nieces and nephews, her church family, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. this (Friday, June 16th) evening at the Wood Family Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve.

A funeral for 96-year-old Virgie (Calkins) Callison of Ste. Genevieve will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 17th at the First Presbyterian Church in Ste. Genevieve. The Rev. Tisha Mundy and Lorraine Stange, CLP, will officiate.

Burial will be in the Caledonia Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Oncology Department at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital or to the First Presbyterian Church.
