A funeral was held today, Monday, January 23rd, 2006 for 64-year-old Joyce D. Bowen of Ste. Genevieve who died Friday, January 20th at her residence.

She was born September 10th, 1941 in Ste. Genevieve, the daughter of Oliver and Katherine (Pirtle) Fitzkam who both preceded her in death.

She married Melvin L. Bowen on May 21st, 1960.

She is survived by three sons and one daughter in law, Melvin L. Bowen Jr. of Moberly, Kelvin "Charlie" and Malisa Bowen of St. Mary and Curtis Bowen of Farmington; and three grandchildren, Michelle Bowen, Chelsi Bowen and Daniel Wilkes.

A brother, Acel Floyd Fitzkam; and a sister, Lois Fallert, also preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

A funeral for 64-year-old Joyce D. Bowen of Ste. Genevieve will be held today, Monday, January 23rd at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve. The Rev. Daniel Mosley will officiate.

Burial will be in the Crestlawn Cemetery.
