Harold J. DeClue

A funeral will be held Tuesday, January 24th, 2006 for 84-year-old Harold J. DeClue of Cape Girardeau, formerly of St. Mary, who died Friday, January 20th at the Missouri Veterans' Home.

He was born March 12th, 1921 in Silver Lake, the son of Joseph Declue and Eva (Haney) DeClue Layton who both preceded him in death.

He married Lola Jeraline Brawley on September 19th, 1939. She preceded him in death.

He is survived by a son and daughter in law, Larry and Judy DeClue of Cape Girardeau; two daughters and sons in law, Joyce and Bob Winston of Ste. Genevieve and Kathy and Don Newell of Cape Girardeau; four sisters, Reva Miller of Perryville, Ada Holland of St. Mary, Leta Rushing of Perryville andFaye Clark of Waynesville; seven grandchildren, Bobby Winston, Kevin Winston, Chris DeClue, Stanley Renfroe, Kristina Bosco, Jeremy Bosco; and three great grandchildren, Morgan Winston, Owen Winston and Emalee Bosco.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Bob DeClue.

He was a member of American Legion Post No. 150, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2210, Saline Lodge AF and AM No. 226 and Order of the Eastern Star.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday, January 23rd at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve. The VFW and Legion services will be held at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Masonic and Eastern Star services will be held at 7:30.

A funeral for 84-year-old Harold J. DeClue of Cape Girardeau, formerly of St. Mary, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 24th at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve. The Rev. Don Estes will officiate.

Burial will be in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in St. Mary.

Memorials may be made to the Missouri Veterans' Home in Cape Girardeau.
