Wayne W. Greminger

A memorial mass will be celebrated Friday, September 1st, 2006 for 85-year-old Wayne W. Greminger of Ste. Genevieve, who died Tuesday, August 29th at his residence.

He was born June 26th, 1921 in Ste. Genevieve, the son of Edgar and Christine (Basler) Greminger, who both preceded him in death.

He married Elinor Hayden on April 27th, 1942. She survives.

He is also survived by three daughters and two sons in law: Lonett and Darryl Gibbons of St. Charles, Christy Winters of St. Peters and Claudia and Darrell Murphy of Jackson; four grandchildren: Cortney Rae Winters, Lindsey Rae Winters, Tyler Murphy and Cory Murphy.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Wonita Baumstark.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and member of American Legion Post No. 2210, Knights of Columbus Council No. 1037 and the Ste. Genevieve Elks.

Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Thursday, August 31st at the Wood Family Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve. An American Legion service will be held at 7 p.m., Knights of Columbus will say the rosary at 7:30 p.m. and the Elks will conduct a service at 8 p.m.

A memorial mass for 85-year-old Wayne W. Greminger of Ste. Genevieve will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 1st at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. The Rev. Daniel Mosley will officiate.

The body has been donated to the Washington University School of Medicine.
