A funeral will be held Saturday, October 29th, 2005 for 85-year-old Gladys C. Grither of Ste. Genevieve who died today, Wednesday, October 26th at Riverview at the Park Care and Rehabilitation Center in Ste. Genevieve.

She was born December 17th, 1919 in Ste. Genevieve, the daughter of Edwin R. Fallert and Leona V. (Bauman) Fallert who both preceded her in death.

She married Arthur J. Grither on April 15th, 1942 in Ste. Genevieve.

She is survived by her adopted daughter, Mary Lou and her husband, Tom Kertz, in Ste. Genevieve; three grandchildren, Gene, and his wife Kris, Kertz of Bloomsdale, Tony Kertz of Washington, Illinois and Matt Kertz of Mansfield, Texas; four great grandchildren, Jeremy, Nicholas, Nicole and Adam Kertz; two brothers and a sister in law, Earl and Ann Fallert of Ste. Genevieve and Earnest Fallert of Ste. Genevieve; a sister, Rosella Koller of Jackson and 13 nieces and nephews.

A daughter, Emma Jean Grither, also preceded her in death.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, October 28th at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve.

A funeral for 85-year-old Gladys C. Grither of Ste. Genevieve will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 29th at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. Burial will be in the Valle Spring Cemetery. The Rev. Daniel Mosley will officiate.
