A funeral will be held today, (Monday, March 7) for 92-year-old Edna M. Hernandez of Chester, Illinois, who died Friday, March 4 at Memorial Hospital in Chester.

She was born December 8th, 1912 in Minnith, the daughter of James Henry Warren and Mary Ester (Coffelt) Warren who both preceded her in death.

She married Charles E. Lorentz. He preceded her in death.

She married Lewis L. Hernandez. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include: a son, John Henry Lorentz of St.Mary; four daughters and two sons in law, Charlene and Stephen Chodos of Rancho Santa Fe, California, Annie Marie Smith of Brandand, Florida, Geraldine Barton of St. Mary and Ramona Francine and Stanley Wutjewicz of New London, Connecticutt; one sister, Olive Marlen of Ste. Genevieve; two half sisters, Viola Heberlie of St. Mary and Norma Talavast of Arizona; 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

A daughter, Mary Elise Smith; a brother, Doyle Warren; a half brother, Ralph Welty; and a grandchild also preceded her in death.

Visitation will be noon to 3 p.m. today (March 7, 2005) at the Basler Funeral Home in St. Mary.
