Louis H. Fischer

A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 2nd, 2005 for 75-year-old Louis H. Fischer of Zell, who died Wednesday, June 29th, 2005 at his home in Zell.

He was born August 16th, 1929, in River Aux Vases, the son of Charles and Philomena (Fritsch) Fischer. They preceded him in death.

He married Doris G. Klein October 6th, 1956. She survives in Zell.

Survivors include: six sons and four daughters in law, Louis and Debbie Fischer of St. Louis, Robert and Carla Fischer of River Aux Vases, James and Diane Fischer of Zell, William and Anita Fischer of Bloomsdale, Francis Fischer and Patrick Fischer, both of Zell; a daughter and son in law, Monica and Wayne Kreitler of Ozora; five brothers and three sisters in law, Wilfred Fischer of Ste. Genevieve, William Fischer of Columbia, IL, Earnest and Wilma Fischer of St. Louis, Charles and Barb Fischer of River Aux Vases, Glennon and Mary Fischer of Zell; two sisters and a brother in law, Corine Heimer of River Aux Vases, Vera and Alvin Baechle of River Aux Vases; and nine grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Edwin Fischer, two sisters, Rose Hoerig and Edna Fischer, and one grandchild.

He worked at Mississippi Lime Company for 49 years. He was a member of VFW Post 2210, and American Legion Post 150.

Visitation is from 3-9 p.m. Friday, July 1st, 2005, at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve. The VFW and American Legion will meet for a service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

A funeral service for 75-year-old Louis H. Fischer of Zell will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 2nd, 2005, at the St. Joseph Church in Zell. The Rev. James Hanson will officiate.

Burial to follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Zell. VFW Post 2210 will provide military graveside honors.
