Wilbur J. Donze A funeral will be held Saturday, January 15th, 2005 for 88-year-old Wilbur J. Donze of Ste. Genevieve who died Thursday, January 13th at his home. He was born January 12th, 1917 in Ste. Genevieve, the son of Harry J. and Marie T. (Koller) Donze, who both preceded him in death. He married Vera E. Giesler on October 18th, 1943. Survivors include: a brother and sister in law, Milton and Vonnie Donze of Ozora; a sister, Matilda Borcherts of Denver, Colorado; three sisters in law, Lilly Mae Donze of Ste. Genevieve, Dorothy Eckenfels and her husband, Gilbert, of Zell andLerneda Giesler of Ste. Genevieve; a brother in law, Raymond Palmer of Ozora; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by two sons, Michael L. Donze and David E. Donze; three brothers, Donald F. Donze, Joseph Donze and Alvin Donze. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 150 and VFW Post No. 2210. Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. this (Friday, January 14th) afternoon and evening at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve. A VFW and American Legion service will be held at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral for 88-year-old Wilbur J. Donze of Ste. Genevieve will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 15th at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. Burial will be in the Valle Spring Cemetery. The Rev. Daniel Mosley will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Church of Ste. Genevieve; HospiceCare, Inc.; or to Masses. |
