Anna M. Bodine A funeral will be held Saturday, January 29th, 2005 for 97-year-old Anna M. Bodine of Farmington who died today (Monday, January 24th) at St. Louis University Medical Center. She was born July 25th, 1907 in St. Louis, the daughter of John and Anna Bradfield-Layes who both preceded her in death. She married Jesse R. Bodine on June 12th, 1928 in St. Louis. He preceded her in death. Survivors include a son and daughter in law: Dale and Jeanette Bodine of Farmington; a daughter and son in law, Margie and Raymond Kern of Ste. Genevieve; seven grandchildren, four with spouses, Larry and Regina Bodine of Bonne Terre, Linda and Scott Maxey of Arcadia Valley, Cathy and Kurt Klanderud of Arvada, CO, Elizabeth and Duane Luffy of River Aux Vases, Rita Bodine of Fresno, CA, Marcia DeMarco of Boulder, CO, and Jonathan Kern of Bloomsdale; a granddaughter in law, Sandra Kern of Bloomsdale; 12 great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Raymond Kern, Jr., and two granddaughters, Susan Ann and Mary Frances Bodine. She worked with her husband on their farm near Bloomsdale for many years. She was a guide at the Bolduc house for over 18 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Ste. Genevieve, and served as an Elder and Sunday School teacher, and was a member of Presbyterian Women of the Church. She was a member of the GFWC Woman’s Club of Ste. Genevieve, and was active in the Foundation for the Restoration of Ste. Genevieve. She was an officer and charter member of the Ste. Genevieve County Farm Bureau, a member of the Ozark Regional Library Board, and a member of the Ste. Genevieve County Health Board. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Friday, January 28th, 2005, at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve. A funeral for 97-year-old Anna M. Bodine of Farmington will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 29th at the First Presbyterian Church in Ste. Genevieve. The Rev. Tisha Mundy will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Lucas Cemetery in St. Louis. You may make memorials to the charity of your choice. |
