A funeral will be held Thursday, February 17th, 2005 for 79-year-old Mildred L. Harris of Farmington, who died Monday, February 14th at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center in Farmington.

She was born May 31, 1925 in the state of North Carolina, the daughter of Leslie E. and Mary L. (Rooks) Barnhill, who both preceded her in death.

She married Basil R. Harris on June 17th, 1966. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include: a son, James R. Harris of Richmond, Virginia; two daughters and one son in law, Theresa and Robert Schweiss of Ste. Genevieve and Mary Matney of Hampton, Virginia; three brothers, Gordon Barnhill of Newport News, Virginia, Herbert Barnhill of Rocky Mount, North Carolina and Donald Barnhill of San Antonio, Texas; four sisters, Earlene Stephens of Leland, North Carolina, Reba Blount of Nashville, North Carolina, Joyce Barnhill of Nashville, North Carolina and Rebecca Dozier of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Two sisters, Lois Jenkins and Margaret Noble, also preceded her in death.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, February 16th at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve.

A funeral for 79-year-old Mildred L. Harris of Farmington will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 17th at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve. The Rev. Steve Renfro will officiate. Burial will be in the Crestlawn Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the American Heart Association.
