A funeral will be held Friday, December 16th, 2005 for 80-year-old Merita E. Grither of Ste. Genevieve who died Monday, December 12th at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital.

She was born November 15th, 1925 in Ste. Genevieve, the daughter of Henry L. Fallert and Rose C. (Naeger) Fallert, who both preceded her in death.

She married Francis "Sport" Grither on June 5th, 1948. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by a daughter and son in law, Joan and William Moberly of Ste. Genevieve; a brother, Norman Fallert of Ste. Genevieve; two sisters and a brother in law, Irma Kettinger of Ste. Genevieve and Bernadine and Donald Kertz of Bloomsdale; three grandchildren, Rodney Grither and Jermey Grither of Sikeston and Wayne Parmer of Ste. Genevieve; five great grandchildren, Alexis, Bailey, Gabe, Dalton and Jasmine.

She was a member of the Western Catholic Union and CMA in Bloomsdale.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, December 15th at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve.

A funeral will be held for 80-year-old Merita E. Grither of Ste. Genevieve at 10 a.m. Friday, December 16th at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. Burial will be in the Valle Spring Cemetery. The Rev. Daniel Mosley will officiate.
