Joan M. "Mayma" Hollars

A funeral will be held Friday, December 9th, 2005 for 70-year-old Joan M. "Mayma" Hollars of Ste. Genevieve, who died Monday, December 5th, 2005 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born August 12th, 1935 in St. Louis, the daughter of Frank and Amy (Minks) Garner. They preceded her in death.

She married Donald Hollars August 29th, 1953. He survives.

Survivors include four sons and a daughter in law, Glennon and Tina Hollars, Terry Hollars, Steven Hollars, all of Ste. Genevieve, Richard Hollars of Atlanta, GA; two daughters and a son in law, Carol and Anthony Giannelli of Madison, AL, Donna Evans of Ste. Genevieve; nine grandchildren, Jennifer Giannelli, Carrie Esner, Christa, Ashley, Eric and Kelly Hollars, Lacy, Heather and Kevin Evans; five great grandchildren, Anthony, Isaac, Tyler, Colby and Dayton.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Carol Ann Scherrer.

Visitation is from 3-8 p.m. Thursday, December 8th at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve.

A funeral for 70-year-old Joan M. "Mayma" Hollars of Ste. Genevieve will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, December 9th, 2005 at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. The Rev. Daniel Mosely will officiate.

Burial will follow at the Crestlawn Cemetery.
