Helen J. Basler A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 21st, 2005 for 68-year-old Helen J. Basler of Ste. Genevieve who died today (Monday, April 18th) at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Crystal City. She was born March 16th, 1937 in Kaskaskia, IL, the daughter of Louis A. and Margaret (Louvall) DeRousse who both preceded her in death. She married Leo A. Basler on August 13th, 1955. He survives in Ste. Genevieve. Survivors include: three daughters and two sons in law, Nicole Bauman of Festus, Roxann and Tom Okenfuss of Ste. Genevieve, Tammy and Tim Arnold of Bloomsdale; a special neice and her spouse, Bonnie and Jerry Koetting of Ste. Genevieve; six brothers and four sisters in law, Robert DeRousse of Herrin, IL, Louis DeRousse of Kaskaskia, Gerald and Anna DeRousse of Imperial, Donovan and Betty DeRousse of Dupo, IL, Lawrence and Betty DeRousse of Herrin, David and Betty DeRousse of Perryville; three sisters and one brother in law, Yvonne Heberlie of Perryville, Virginia Blythe of Ste. Genevieve, Margie Ann and Ray Welker of Eureka; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Johnson, and a son, Tony Basler. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. A memorial service for 68-year-old Helen J. Basler of Ste. Genevieve will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 21st at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. The Rev. Daniel Moseley will officiate. Memorials may be made to Jefferson Memorial Hospice or to Masses. |
