A funeral will be held Thursday, October 14th, 2004 for 93-year-old Clarice M. DeLassus of Chester, Illinois, who died today, Tuesday, October 12th at her home.

She was born March 26th, 1911 in St. Mary, the daughter of Ruben Cole Jr. and Emma C. Roth Cole who both preceded her in death.

She married Hugo J. DeLassus on August 5th, 1932 in St. Mary. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include: a son, Waldo DeLassus of Chester; a daughter and son in law, Margaret and James Hendricks of Virden, Illinois; a sister, Helen Wolf of St. Mary; 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a son, John DeLassus; daughter, Barbara Dethrow; two brothers, Henry and Edward Cole; a sister, Marth McDonald; an infant daughter and a grandchild, Mary Jo (Dethrow) Ward.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Wednesday, October 13th at the Basler Funeral Home in St. Mary.

A funeral for 93-year-old Clarice M. DeLassus of Chester, Illinois will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 14th at the Immaculate Conception Church in Kaskaskia, Illinois. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Rev. Richard Kasznel will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the Immaculate Conception Church.
