Richard D. ‘Mr. B’ Blaylock A funeral will be held Wednesday, November 17th, 2004 for 62-year-old Richard D. "Mr. B" Blaylock of Ste. Genevieve who died Friday, November 12th at his residence. He was born January 6th, 1942 in Cape Girardeau, the son of Cecil and Chlola (Statler) Blaylock, who survive in Cape Girardeau. He married Virginia Marie French. She preceded him in death. Survivors also include: three daughters and sons in law, Melanie Gaye and Steve Elder of Festus, Elizabeth Dawn and John Adam Boeckstiegel of Bloomsdale and Danielle Marie and John William Parnell of Bloomsdale; a sister, Sally Ann Eaker of Cape Girardeau; a sister in law and her husband, Carol Sue and Paul Reimann of Cape Girardeau; and six grandchildren, Samantha Dawn O'Dell, Joshua Michael Robinson and Thomas Richard Elder; Scott Thomas Parnell, Austin Daniel Blaylock and Spencer Keith Siar. He was a retired English teacher in the Festus R-VI schools and manager of H&R Block in Farmington. He was past president of the Missouri State Teachers Association, 32nd Degree Mason with Harold O. Grauel Lodge No. 672, Cape Girardeau and Order of Eastern Star No. 417. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 16th at the Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus. A funeral for 62-year-old Richard D. "Mr. B" Blaylock of Ste. Genevieve will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus. Burial will be in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. |
