A funeral will be held Saturday, November 20th, 2004 for 85-year-old Gilbert J. Greminger of Ste. Genevieve who died Wednesday, November 17th at St. Anthony's Health Center in St. Louis.

He was born November 2nd, 1919 in Ste. Genevieve, the son of August and Magdalena (Fallert) Greminger, who both preceded him in death.

He married Rita M. Donze on June 21st, 1941. She preceded him in death.

Survivors include five sons and four daughters in law, Jerome and Shirley Greminger of St. Ann, Thomas and Bernadette Greminger of Ste. Genevieve, Michael and Vicki Greminger of Festus, James Greminger of Ste. Genevieve and Dick and Suzanne Greminger of Ste. Genevieve; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Five brothers, Arthur, Joseph, Alosius, Edgar and Christian Greminger; a sister, Rita Lause; and a great grandson, Dylan Grither, also preceded him in death.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 1037, a charter member of the Ste. Genevieve Lions Club and a past member of the Knights of Columbus Choir.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, November 19th at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve.

A funeral for 85-year-old Gilbert J. Greminger of Ste. Genevieve will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 20th at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. Burial will be in the Valle Spring Cemetery. The Rev. Daniel Mosley will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the Valle Schools Foundation or to the Dylan Grither Scholarship Fund in care of the Bank of Bloomsdale.
