Francis E. Grass A funeral will be held Wednesday, November 17th, 2004 for 87-year-old Francis E. Grass of Bloomsdale who died Sunday, November 14th at the St. Louis University Medical Center in St. Louis. He was born March 23, 1917 in Bloomsdale, the son of Henry and Johanna (Zerwig) Grass, who both preceded him in death. He married Loretta M. Pfaff on September 25th, 1940. She survives in Bloomsdale. Also surviving are: a son and daughter in law, Leon and Sophia Grass of Bloomsdale; a daughter and son in law, Glenda and Leo Viox of Bloomsdale; a sister, Armella Roth of Ste. Genevieve; six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Four sisters, Appolonia Wipfler, Dora Huck, Adeline Mueller and Viola Roth; two brothers, Joseph Grass and Steve Grass and a grandchild also preceded him in death. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 1848 in Bloomsdale. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 16th, 2004 at the Basler Funeral Home, Ste. Genevieve. A funeral for 87-year-old Francis E. Grass of Bloomsdale will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 17th at the St. Agnes Church in Bloomsdale. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Rev. Raymond Oge will officiate. Memorials may be made to the St. Agnes School Building Fund or to Masses. |
