Rose L. Gegg A funeral will be held Wednesday, May 19th, 2004 for 98-year-old Rose L. Gegg of Ste. Genevieve who died Saturday, May 15th at Mark Twain Manor in Bridgeton. She was born November 23rd, 1905 in Weingarten, the daughter of Nicholas and Anna (Hogenmiller) Schwent, who both preceded her in death. She married William W. Gegg on October 20th, 1925. He preceded her in death. Survivors include: one son and daughter in law, Bill and Jeanne Gegg of Washington; four daughters and three sons in law, Betty and Patrick Hermann of St. Louis, Anna Marie and William Fallert of Bloomsdale, Dorothy Barnes of St. Louis and Loretta and Arthur Bernier of Las Vegas, New Mexico; a daughter in law, Mary Gegg of St. Louis; two sisters and a brother in law, Helen Gegg and Benny Gegg of Ste. Genevieve and Alice Isenman of Weingarten; a brother in law, Thomas Schweiss of Weingarten; 19 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. A son, Joseph Gegg; three sisters, Emma Flieg, Mary Hurts and Martha Schweiss; a brother, Joe Schwent; a grandchildren and a great grandchild also preceded her in death. She was a member of the Sodality of Mary. Visitation will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 18th at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve. A funeral for 98-year-old Rose L. Gegg of Ste. Genevieve will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 19th at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. Burial will be in the Valle Spring Cemetery. Bishop Robert Hermann will officiate. Memorials may be made to Masses or to charity of choice. |
