Ernest E. Holland A funeral will be held Monday, March 22nd, 2004 for 84-year-old Ernest E. Holland of St. Mary who died Thursday, March 18th at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital. He was born January 16th, 1920 in Ceadarfork, the son of John and Mabel (Guittar) Holland who both preceded him in death. He married Ada DeClue on May 8th, 1948 in St. Mary. She survives. Survivors also include: four sons and three daughters in law, David Holland of St. Mary, Robert and Jean Holland of Ste. Genevieve, Michael and Mary Holland of Ste. Genevieve and Tim and Tina Holland of St. Mary; one daughter and son in law, Brenda and Ron Jokerst of Perryville; seven grandchildren, Brent, Nicole, Julie, Matt, Tyler and Tessa Holland and Jason Jokerst and two great grandchildren, Gavin and Bryant. He was also preceded in death by two sons, Kirk and Daniel; three sisters, Gladys Sauer, Trudy Marquis and Louise Nororian and one brother, Sneder Holland. He was retired from Prince Gardner. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, hunting, fishing and his music. He was a self-taught musician who played the fiddle and guitar. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Sunday, March 21st, at the Basler Funeral Home in St. Mary. A funeral for 84-year-old Ernest E. Holland of St. Mary will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 22nd at the Basler Funeral Home in St. Mary. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery in St. Mary. Memorials may be made to the St. Mary Cemetery Fund. |
