Michael L. and Hiroko Y. Donze

Funerals will be held Sunday, June 13th, 2004 for 56-year-old Hiroko Y. Donze and Monday, June 14th, 2004 for 59-year-old Michael L. Donze, both of Ste. Genevieve, who died Tuesday, June 8th. Michael died in Ste. Genevieve. Hiroko died at St. Louis University Medical Center in St. Louis.

Michael was born September 16th, 1944 in Lincoln, Nebraska, the son of Wilbur J. and Vera (Giesler) Donze. They survive in Ste. Genevieve.

He married Hiroko Y. Yokoyama on December 5th, 1967. She was born August 3rd, 1947 in Mongolia, the daughter of Ginsaku Yokoyama and Kiku Ito, who both preceded her in death.

Michael and Hiroko are survived by two sons, Michael L. Donze Jr. of St. Louis and Wilbur J. Donze of Columbia; two daughters, Patricia H. Donze of Kansas City and Elaine H. Donze of Ste. Genevieve.

Two brothers, Hideo Yokoyama and Shigaru Yokoyama, also survive Hiroko. Two sisters, Kyoko Murata and Masaliu Sugimoto, also preceded her in death.

A brother, David, also preceded Michael in death.

Michael was retired from the U.S. Air Force after serving 21 years. He was a member of VFW Post No. 2210.

Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Sunday at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve.

A funeral for 56-year-old Hiroko Donze of Ste. Genevieve will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Geneiveve.

A funeral mass for 59-year-old Michael Donze of Ste. Genevieve will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 14th at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. The Rev. Daniel Mosley will officiate.

Michael and Hiroko will be buried at the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks.
