Louis D. Hogenmiller Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 29th, at 10 a.m. for 86 year old Louis D. Hogenmiller of French Village. He passed away Thursday, June 24th, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Crystal City. He was born March 24th, 1918, in Kaskaskia, Illinois, the son of the late Anton N. and Elsie Elizabeth (Langelier) Hogenmiller. He married Elvina Rose (Griffard) Hogenmiller. She preceded him in death. Survivors include four sons and three daughters in law: Robert and Melberta Hogenmiller of Festus, David and Reba Hogenmiller of Ste. Genevieve, Thomas and Donna Hogenmiller of St. Louis, and Rodney Hogenmiller of French Village; five daughters and three sons in law, Patricia and Daniel DeRousse of Festus, Catherine and Mike Nelson of Festus, Lynetta and Gerard Uhls of Festus, Donna Derickson of St. Louis, and Elona Hogenmiller of DeSoto. He is also survived by a sister, 28 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. Two sisters and two brothers also preceded him in death. He was a glassworker, retiring from PPG Industries, and a World War II veteran of the U. S. Navy. He was a life member of VFW Post 3777, and a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Bloomsdale. He was also a former deputy sheriff of Ste. Genevieve County. Visitation is scheduled from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 28th, at the Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus. The funeral for Louis D. Hogenmiller will be held Tuesday, June 29th, at 10 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City with Father Michael Donald officiating. Interment at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crystal City.
