A funeral will be held Saturday, July 24th, 2004 for 56-year-old Robert L. Brumfield Jr. of Ste. Genevieve, who died Wednesday, July 21st at St. Louis University Medical Center in St. Louis.

He was born December 2nd, 1947 in Ste. Genevieve, the son of Robert L. Brumfield Sr. and Margery M. (Bleckler) Brumfield, who both preceded him in death.

He married Linda S. Bollinger on July 19th, 1969. She survives in Ste. Genevieve.

Survivors also include: one son, Shane Brumfield of Cape Girardeau; one daughter and son in law, Stacy and Jim Bell of Ste. Genevieve; two grandchildren, Lauren and Molly; and a sister and brother in law, Robin and Phil Reynolds of Ste. Genevieve.

He was a member of the Saline Lodge A.F. and A.M. No. 228, St.Mary; Scottish Rite; 32nd degree Shriner; Fourth Ward Alderman for the City of Ste. Genevieve; board member of Ste. Genevieve Community Access Television; former member of the Ste. Genevieve School District R-II Board of Education and American Legion Post No. 150.

He owned and operated Brumfield Automotive.

Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Friday, July 23rd at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve.

A funeral for 56-year-old Robert L. Brumfield Jr. will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 24th at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. The Rev. Daniel Mosley will officiate. Burial will be in the Crestlawn Cemetery.
