A funeral will be held Thursday, July 29th, 2004 for 81-year-old James M. Clifton of St. Mary, who died today, Tuesday, July 27th, at his home.

He was born May 2, 1923 in Marble Hill, the son of John H. and Emma (Neal) Clifton, who both preceded him in death.

He married Thurma M. Wilson on July 7th, 1944. She preceded him in death.

Survivors include: three sons and daughters in law, John W. and Charlotte Clifton of Bloomsdale, Ronald D. and Shirley Clifton of Wentzville and Gary M. and Vicki Clifton of Ste. Genevieve; two daughters and sons in law, Frieda M. and Roy Jones of Park Hills and Bonnie L. and Bart Williams of St. Mary; a sister, Catherine McGee of Gerald; 18 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Several brothers and sisters also preceded him in death.

Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 28th at the Basler Funeral Home in St. Mary.

A funeral for 81-year-old James M. Clifton of St. Mary will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 29th at the Basler Funeral Home in St. Mary. Burial will be in the St. Mary Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
