Harold F. Jokerst Funeral service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2004 for 87-year-old Harold F. Jokerst of Ste. Genevieve who died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2004 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Crystal City. He was born on July 24, 1916 in Ste. Genevieve, the son of the late George L. "Cap" and Frances (Huck) Jokerst. He was married to Adele "Patsy" L. Jokerst on Feb. 6,. 1938. She survives in Ste. Genevieve. Two daughters and one son-in-law survive: Mary Fran Figge of St. Louis and Inez D. and Jim Clark of Germantown, Tenn. One brother, Tom Jokerst, survives in Ste. Genevieve. Four grandchildren (Jeff, Tim Figge and Kristin Figge, and Jennifer West); a great-grandchild, Jack Francis Figge; and a son-in-law, Pat Maguire of Austin, Tex. survive him. A daughter, Suzanne L. Maguire; two brothers, Ozzie Jokerst and Clarence "Shim" Jokerst; amd a son-in-law, Frank Figee, preceded him in death. He was a member of VFW Post 2210, American Legion Post 150; and Valle Alumni Association. He worked for Mississippi Lime Company for 44 years. Visitation will be Tuesday, Jan. 13 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Basler Funeral Home. The VFW and American Legion will meet at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service for Harold F. Jokerst will be held Wednesday, Jan. 154, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. Rev. Raymond Hager will officiate. Burial will be in the Valle Spring Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Valle Schools Foundation. |
