Anne R. Baumann

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 4, 2004 for 91-year-old Anne R. Baumann formerly of River Aux Vases who died Monday, Feb. 2 at West County Care Center in Ballwin, Mo.

She was born on March 28, 1912 in Ozora, the daughter of the late William and Mary (Schweigert) Palmer.

She was married to Marion W. Bauman on Sept. 2, 1939. He preceded her in death on July 14, 1957.

One son and daughter-in-law and six daughters and three sons-in-law survive: Lawrence W. and Karen Baumann of St. Louis; Judith Baumann of St. Louis; Carolyn Bemis of Washington, D.C.; Barbara J. and Michael Oberle of St. Louis; Marianne and Dr. C. Michael Muran of St. Louis; and Elizabeth and Edward Meyer of Memphis, Tenn.;

Three brothers and two sisters survive: Raymond Palmer of Ozora; Fred Palmer of Ste. Genevieve; Bernard Palmer of Hillsboro; Elizabeth Schilli of St. Louis; and Regina Wehner of Lebanon.

Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Patrick Baumann; four sisters, Kathryn Otte, Rose Menzel, Willa Meyer and Clara Uding; two brothers, Francis Palmer and Henry Palmer; two grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

There will be no visitation.

Memorial Mass for Anne R. Baumann will be held Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 1048 S. 10th, St. Louis. Rev. Joseph Williams and Rev. Norbert Ernst will officiate.

Graveside service will be on Wednesday, Feb. 4 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Philip and James Cemetery in river Aux Vases.

Memorials can be made to the Family Center in East S. Louis, Ill; St. Vincent de Paul Social Ministries; or St. Patrick Center.
