Thelma R. Giesler

A funeral will be held Friday, December 24th, 2004 for 85-year-old Thelma R. Giesler of St. Mary, who died today, December 21st, at the Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born October 23rd, 1919 in Perry County, the daughter of John and Magdalen (Esselman) Breig, who both preceded her in death.

She married Norbert "Chub" Giesler on May 20th, 1939 in St. Mary. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include: a son and daughter in law, Kenneth and Darlene Giesler of Ozora; a daughter and son in law, Donna and Quentin Manion of Perryville; and four grandchildren, Shelly Powderly, David Manion, Dr. Loren Giesler and Aaron Giesler.

A brother, Adrian Breig, also preceded her in death.

She was a member of St. Ann's Confraternity of Christian Doctrine.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, December 23rd at the Basler Funeral Home in St. Mary.

A funeral for 85-year-old Thelma R. Giesler of St. Mary will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, December 24th at the Immaculate Conception Church in St. Mary. Burial will be in the Immaculate Conception cemetery. The Rev. Richard Kasznel will officiate.

Memorials may be made to Southeast Hospice or to Immaculate Conception Church.
