Sylvan J. Bruckerhoff A private funeral will be held for 85-year-old Sylvan J. Bruckerhoff of St. Mary who died Saturday, December 11th, 2004 at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital in Ste. Genevieve. He was born January 24th, 1919 in Rhineland, the son of Clements and Estella (Reymer) Bruckerhoff who both preceded him in death. He married Edna "Peggy" Huber on May 17th, 1947. Survivors include: three sons and two daughters in law, David and Delilah Bruckerhoff of Cape Girardeau, Rodney and Deborah Bruckerhoff of Perryville and Phillip Bruckerhoff of Perryville; two daughters and one son in law, Carol and Bill Reynolds of St. Mary and Karen "Susie" Bruckerhoff of St. Mary; 10 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A daughter, Diana Marie Bruckerhoff and a grandchild also preceded him in death. He was a member of the VFW in Cape Girardeau, worked for Walter's Pony Express for 50 years and was a World War II veteran, receiving four Bronze Star Medals. Private visitation will be at the Basler Funeral Home in St. Mary. A private funeral service for 85-year-old Sylvan J. Bruckerhoff will be held at the Basler Funeral Home in St. Mary. Burial will be in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, St. Mary. The Rev. Irvin Brooks will officiate. Memorials may be made to the VFW or USO. |
