Warren Wilfred Blum

A funeral was held this morning, Monday, April 12th, 2004 for 83-year-old Warren Wilfred Blum of Ste. Genevieve who died Friday, April 9th at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital.

He was born July 31st, 1920 in St.Louis, the son of Frank and Edith May (Conway) Blum who both preceded him in death.

He married Adalla D. Govro on January 3rd, 1941. She preceded him in death.

Survivors are: four daughters and three sons in law, Betty and Norman Bieser of Ste. Genevieve, Martha and Randy Bahr of Ste. Genevieve, Vickie Abt of House Springs and Judy and Benny Grass of Bloomsdale; two sons and daughters in law, Warren and Kathy Blum, David and Joann Blum, all of Ste. Genevieve; one brother and sister in law, Melvin and Rose Blum of Weatherford, Texas; and one sister and brother in law, Arlene and Lawrence Murray of Park Hills; 17 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; and dear friends.

A brother, Lindell Blum, also preceded him in death.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and lifelong member of the American Legion Post No. 150 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2210 in Ste. Genevieve.

A funeral for 83-year-old Warren Wilfred Blum of Ste. Genevieve was held this morning Monday, April 12th at the Wood Family Funeral Home. Burial was in the Valle Spring Catholic Cemetery. The Rev. Roger Faulkner will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the Oncology Department of Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital or to the VFW Post No. 2210.
