A funeral will be held Friday, September 19th, 2003 for 95-year-old Joseph W. Bader of Ste. Genevieve, who died Tuesday, September 16th at Riverview Manor Nursing Home.

He was born May 16th, 1908 in Ste. Genevieve, the son of Max J. and Sophia (Rudloff) Bader, who both preceded him in death.

He married Marie H. Viox on September 3rd, 1933 in Ste. Genevieve. She survives in Ste. Genevieve.

Survivors also include: two sons and daughters in law, Francis "Sonny" and Gloria Bader of St. Mary and Robert "Bob" and Robyn Bader of St.Louis; two daughters and sons in law, Dolores and Thomas Gidley of Waterloo, Illinois and Marilyn and Raymond Schwent of St. Mary; 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Three sisters, Bertha Arnold, Lucille Leabig and Mary Louise Bader; four brothers Oscar Bader, Leo Bader, Ben Bader and Leonard Bader; and one grandchild also preceded him in death.

Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Thursday, September 18th at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve.

A funeral for 95-year-old Joseph W. Bader of Ste. Genevieve will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 19th at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. Burial will be in the Valle Spring Cemetery. The Rev. Raymond Hager will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the Valle Schools Foundation or to Masses.
