Norman D. Deck, Sr.

A funeral will be held Friday, October 24th, 2003 for 65-year-old Norman D. Deck, Sr., of Ste. Genevieve who died Tuesday, October 21st, at St. Louis University Medical Center.

He was born June 20th, 1938 in Puxico, the son of Marion D. Deck and Josie A. (Looney) Deck, who both preceded him in death.

He married Elvina J. Parmer on August 5th, 1972. She survives.

Survivors include two sons, two daughters-in-law, four daughters, and one-son-in-law: Randy and Monica Deck of Weingarten; Norman and Kara Deck, Jr. of Ste. Genevieve;  Jane Naeger, Terri Estes, and Kim and Robert Christy, all of Ste. Genevieve; and Neva Hardy of St. Mary. 

Also surviving are two brothers, two sisters-in-law, one sister, and one brother-in-law: Carmen "Pete" Deck Sr. and his wife Rita and Donnie Deck, both of Ste. Genevieve; Mary Deck of Malden; and Wilma and Leon Laird of Dexter.

Fifteen grandchildren also survive.

A brother, Dorman Eugene Deck, preceded him in death.

Visitation is Thursday, October 23rd, 2003, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Basler Funeral Home of Ste. Genevieve.

A funeral for 65-year-old Norman D. Deck, Sr. of Ste. Genevieve will be held 10 a.m. Friday, October 24th, at the Basler Funeral Home, with the Reverend Roger Faulkner presiding. Burial to be effected at Crestlawn Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the family's use.

The Basler Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
