A funeral will be held Friday, October 3rd, 2003 for 62-year-old Gerald E. Davitz, formerly of Ste. Genevieve, who died Monday, September 29th, at Baptist Hospital, N.E., in LaGrange, Kentucky. 

He was born October 28th, 1940 in Ste. Genevieve, the son of the late Walter E. Davitz and Bernetta Roth (Haug), who survives in Ste. Genevieve.

Survivors also include: a daughter, Karen Cartee, of St. Francois County; a son, Kenneth Davitz, of Ste. Genevieve County; a sister, Zelda Cissik, of New York; two brothers, Walter Davitz of Santa Rosa, California, and Kermith Davitz, of Ste. Genevieve; and three grandchildren. 

Mr. Davitz was a veteran of the U.S. Army..

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 this (Thursday, October 2nd) afternoon and evening at the Wood Family Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve. 

A funeral for 62-year-old Gerald E. Davitz, formerly of Ste. Genevieve, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 3rd at the Church of Ste. Genevieve, with the Reverend Raymond Hager officiating. Burial will be in the Valle Spring Catholic Cemetery.
