Funeral service will be held Thursday, Oct. 9, 2003 for 87-year-old Lorene A. Basler of Ste. Genevieve who died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2003 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital.

She was born on Jan. 20, 1916 in Ste. Genevieve, the daughter of the late Frank and Dora (Harter) Huber.

She was married to Emanual A. Basler on Oct. 6, 1935. He preceded her in death.

One daughter and son-in-law survive, Shirley and Robert Wiesehan, of St. Louis.

One brother and three sisters survive, Gilbert Huber, Ursula Grass, Dora Bahr and Marie Gegg, all of Ste. Genevieve.

Six grandchildren survive: Cindy Pallme, Connie Brown, David Robben, Michael Wiesehan, Mark Wiesehan, and Janet Robben, all of St. Louis.

Ten great-grandchildren also survive: Nick, Angela, Christine, Ryan, Cory, Brittany, Jeffrey, Katie, Keaton, and Jeremy, all of St. Louis.

One daughter, Rita M. O’Driscoll; three brothers, Richard Huber, Francis Huber and Oscar Huber; and two sisters, Hilda Rader and Josephine Grieshaber, preceded her in death.

She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 8 from 3:00-9:00 p.m. at the Basler Funeral Home.

Funeral service for Lorene A. Basler will be held Thursday, Oct. 9, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Church of Ste. Genevieve. Rev. Raymond Hager will officiate. Burial will be in the Valle Spring Cemetery.

Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association or Masses.
