A funeral will be held Thursday, November 20th, 2003 for 42-year-old Jeff L. Holst of Crystal City who died Tuesday, November 18th at St. John's Mercy Medical Center in Creve Coeur.

He was born October 14th, 1961 in Festus, the son of the late Edgar Holst and Juanita (Chism) Holst who survives in Crystal City.

He married Cindy A. McCoy. She survives in Crystal City.

Survivors also include: one daughter, Mackenzie Holst of Crystal City; two sons, Sam Holst of Crystal City and Ethan Holst of Crystal City; two brothers and one sister in law, Richard "Dick" Holst of Bloomsdale and Bill and Janet Holst of Bloomsdale; one sister and brother in law, Anita and Jim Dickneite of Bloomsdale; 13 nieces and nephews and nine great-nieces and nephews.

He was a biologist with Monsanto and member of Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City, Knights of Columbus Council No. 1037 and Toastmasters.

Visitation will be 3-9 p.m. this (Wednesday, November 19th) afternoon and evening at the Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.

A memorial mass for 42-year-old Jeff L. Holst of Crystal City will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, November 20th at Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City. The Rev. Jim White will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the Holst Children's Memorial Fund in care of the Bank of Bloomsdale.
