Martin Joseph Gegg Funeral service will be held Saturday, May 31, 2003 for 80-year-old Martin Joseph Gegg of Ste. Genevieve who died Wednesday, May 28 at his residence. He was born on Dec. 25, 1922 in River Aux Vases, the son of the late Joseph Hermann Gegg and Elizabeth C. Striebel. He was married to Leola A. Jokerst. She preceded him in death. Five children survive her: Betty Ann Stretch of Ste. Genevieve; Clarita Marie Grass of Zell; Larry Joseph Gegg of River Aux Vases; Garry Joseph Gegg of Ste. Genevieve; and Kevin James Gegg of Ste. Genevieve. Brothers and sisters surviving are Oliver Gegg, Welton Gegg, Francis Gegg and Oswald Gegg, all of River Aux Vases. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He wasa member of VFW Post 2210, Western Catholic Union, and Holy Name Society. He wa a truck driver for the Sheltered Workshop in Ste. Genevieve. Visitation will be Friday, May 30 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Wood Family Funeral home. Funeral service for Martin Joseph Gegg will be held Saturday, May 31, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Sts. Philip and James Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Masses or to Hospice Care. |
