Verna M. Gegg A funeral was held Monday, March 24th, 2003 for 69-year-old Verna M. Gegg of Weingarten, who died Friday, March 21st, 2003 at her home. She was born September 27th, 1933 in Ste. Genevieve, the daughter of Lloyd A. and Mary N. (Campbell) Martin, who both preceded her in death. She married Olen A. Gegg on February 27th, 1954 in Ste. Genevieve. He also preceded her in death. She is survived by three children and their spouses: Eugene and Kelli Gegg; Russell and Teresa Gegg and Gail and Carl Beyatte -- all of Ste, Genevieve. Two brothers and four sisters and their spouses also survive: Allen and Carline Martin of Farmersville, LA; Leonard and Lorraine Martin of Ste. Genevieve; Mary and Archie Henderson of Ste. Genevieve; Grace and Henry Heck of Ste. Genevieve; Ida and Bob Whitaker of Farmington and Pearl and Carl Whitaker of Valley Park. Three grandchildren also survive. Five brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death. She was a member of the Sodality of Mary. A funeral service for 69-year-old Verna M. Gegg was held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 24th at Our Lady Help of Christians Church. Rev. John Suren officiated. Burial was at the Our Lady of Christians Cemetery in Weingarten.
